I painted this over the holidays. I had a church in mind, and I wanted to paint something that represented Christmas. For me, the reason for the season is Jesus Christ, so a church just seemed fitting. I wanted to show a family spending time together at church, and then the rest I thought would be festive for the holiday season. When people look at this, I hope it makes them feel happy and think of the good memories that they have of the holidays with their friends and family.
Art is something that has fascinated me since I was a little girl. When I was maybe about eight or nine, my dad saw me drawing one time, and then the next day my parents had signed me up for art classes. Those lessons have allowed my artistic talent to grow over the years, and I am grateful to have had a chance to discover this talent at such a young age. For a few years I was only accustomed to drawing with pencils, and occasionally colored pencils. Later on I started experimenting more with painting. I have enjoyed using acrylic paints for many years. I still enjoy using pencils and acrylics but I have also been stepping out with other mediums as well such as graphite pencils, soft and oil pastels, and watercolors. I love drawing...
