This painting is very unique to me is unique to me because I painted only with my fingers for a majority of the painting. I unfortunately had to go to the brushes for the smaller details in the coral, turtles, and fish. This painting is really special to me though because it took me almost two years to complete. I chose this particular scenery because it was different for me. I am not used to painting underwater scenes. From the beginning I had the image of being able to sea the sea turtles underneath the water and also be able to see above the water. I wanted the painting to be bright and vibrant, which I feel I accomplished. I hope you all enjoy this painting. Let me know what you think.
Art is something that has fascinated me since I was a little girl. When I was maybe about eight or nine, my dad saw me drawing one time, and then the next day my parents had signed me up for art classes. Those lessons have allowed my artistic talent to grow over the years, and I am grateful to have had a chance to discover this talent at such a young age. For a few years I was only accustomed to drawing with pencils, and occasionally colored pencils. Later on I started experimenting more with painting. I have enjoyed using acrylic paints for many years. I still enjoy using pencils and acrylics but I have also been stepping out with other mediums as well such as graphite pencils, soft and oil pastels, and watercolors. I love drawing...
