I painted this as a Mother's Day gift. It completed a series of chicken paintings I did for my mom's kitchen. She specifically wanted a chicken with a coffee cup, and the coffee beans were her idea as well. So I hope everyone enjoys it. Please let me know what you think.
Art is something that has fascinated me since I was a little girl. When I was maybe about eight or nine, my dad saw me drawing one time, and then the next day my parents had signed me up for art classes. Those lessons have allowed my artistic talent to grow over the years, and I am grateful to have had a chance to discover this talent at such a young age. For a few years I was only accustomed to drawing with pencils, and occasionally colored pencils. Later on I started experimenting more with painting. I have enjoyed using acrylic paints for many years. I still enjoy using pencils and acrylics but I have also been stepping out with other mediums as well such as graphite pencils, soft and oil pastels, and watercolors. I love drawing...
